California Highway Patrol investigators say the man suspected of running over two teens and not stopping Thursday has come forward.

According to the CHP, both the 35-year-old driver and his lawyer have been cooperative.

Malcolm Bandy and Andrew Whitten were left severely injured last week when the man’s Ford pick up crashed into them near Dry Creek Road and Elk horn Boulevard.

The man’s truck was impounded as evidence. The CHP says they will recommend that the District Attorney’s Office pursue felony hit and run charges against the driver.
