Report: Local Couple Reported Missing in Peru Found

(CNN) — A U.S. couple reported missing in Peru have been found safe, Peru’s Ministry of Tourism and Commerce told CNN on Tuesday.

Jamie Neal and Garret Hand, from the San Francisco area, were last heard from in January.

FOX40 talked to relatives of the couple over the weekend. They were worried for the couple’s well-being after contact abruptly cut off.

The couple is traveling through Peru and had been updating social media sites constantly until Jan. 25, raising the concerns of family members.
