STOCKTON-

A suspected robber was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail with a bloody face and a black eye Monday night.

Police in Stockton say two men knocked on a door on Belvedere Avenue and asked to use a man’s phone. The two men forced their way in and brandished a gun.

According to police, that’s when things took a turn.

Investigators say the victims fought back and were able to hold one of the men while the other managed to get away.

Miguel Gonzalez, 21, was treated for his injuries at a nearby hospital and then booked into San Joaquin County Jail for residential robbery.

The second suspected robber is described as a Black man in his 20s or 30s, between five feet eight inches and six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a dark puffy jacket, dark jeans and a black beanie.
