Deputies Seek Information on Attempted Kidnapping in Fair Oaks

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man that might have some information about a recent attempted kidnapping at a Fair Oaks school.

Investigators say the alleged attempted kidnapping happened March 2 in the late morning at La Vista Center School along Bannister Road. Deputies say that a young girl was approached by a man who then grabbed her ankle.

The man reportedly dragged along the ground until she yelled for help, according to deputies. The man got on a bike and fled southbound.

The alleged attempted kidnapper is described as a white man in his early 20’s. He’s between 5 feet 10 inches and six feet tall with black hair and a thin build. He was wearing a black jacket or hoodie and jeans.

The Sheriff’s Department released a sketch of a a man seen nearby when the attempted kidnapping happened. He’s only being sought for information and isn’t considered a suspect.
