CHP says that a 17-year-old boy riding an electronic scooter was hit by a car late Monday afternoon.

The boy was heading south along Olive Avenue around 4 p.m. He was on the shoulder of the road when, for some reason, he swerved into the lane.

A car, driven by 50-year-old Jong Thao of Marysville, then hit the boy. CHP notes that the driver will not be facing any charges.

Responders took the boy by air to Sutter Roseville Medical Center. He was conscious and talking during the flight.

The condition of the boy isn’t known at this time.
