A woman was stabbed by her husband in her sleep early Wednesday morning, Woodland Police say.
Police were called to a home near West and Cross streets around 1 a.m. Dispatchers were told that a woman had just been stabbed in the chest by her husband.
At the scene, they found the suspect and detained the suspect, 35-year-old Woodland resident Guillermo Aldama.
Investigation revealed that Aldama stabbed his wife with a knife while she slept. Her 9-year-old daughter was sleeping next to her at the time.
Aldama was arrested and booked for attempted murder and child endangerment charges.
The woman was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center and is expected to be OK.
