It’s not a sight you see often — a wrecked limo on the side of the road. But, it took the attention of dozens of Placer County Deputies Saturday when they say a man, in his 60’s, struck a pedestrian.
“He didn’t stop there,” says Dina Urwin of the Sheriff’s Department. “He kept driving and then hit a blue mini-van.”
Deputies suspect the driver likely had a medical condition that made him unaware of his surroundings. The accident ended with his non-commercial limo on the side of Taylor Road in Loomis, where deputies tell FOX40 he died within a few minutes of being pulled out of the vehicle.
The pedestrian that was struck was rushed in to surgery while the driver of the mini van walked away unharmed, according to Placer County Sheriffs.
