Six people and two dogs were able to make it out of a house fire early Tuesday morning in Fairfield.

The fire broke out around 4:40 a.m. on Marigold Avenue near Camrose Avenue.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, but firefighters say one of the people in the home heard a noise in the garage. When he went to check it out, he say that a fire had broken out.

The man woke up everyone else and they, along with the dogs, were able to escape.
