Kenilworth Junior High in Petaluma has banned pants that they’ve deemed “too tight,” according to a report from Bay Area FOX affiliate KTVU.
Students and parents are upset after an administrator pulled two girls aside to tell them that their pants were too tight and that they were distracting boys.
One student told KTVU that leggings and yoga pants make up much of her wardrobe and the ban limits what she can wear to school.
An assistant principal told the station that their dress code prohibits anything that distracts from the learning environment.
Students wearing “too-tight” pants will be sent home to change.
