Sun’s Glare a Possible Factor in Deadly Motorcycle Crash
A motorcyclist is dead after hitting a school bus Monday morning.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what went wrong, but are looking at glare from the sun as a possible factor since the accident happened just as the sun was rising at 6:50 a.m.
Investigators say the motorcycle was traveling westbound and the bus was turning from a side street onto San Juan Avenue, going eastbound when it was hit by the motorcycle. The rider died on the scene.
The driver of the bus and the twelve high school students on board were not physically hurt.
Counselors will be on hand for them at school.
Investigators will be out to the scene of the accident tomorrow morning at the same time to see what the conditions were and how they may have payed a role in this deadly accident.
