Flags Ordered at Half-Staff
Flags will be flying at half-staff this week around California, to honor the three dead and dozens injured in the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, who is acting Governor during Governor Brown’s current trip to China, released the order Tuesday following a similar request from President Barack Obama.
Newsom ordered flags be lowered over state buildings.
The President’s order includes all public buildings and military posts until sunset on Saturday, April 20.
