A man was stabbed at a Fairfield Home Depot late Friday morning.

Just before 11 a.m. Fairfield Police got a call saying that a man was stabbed in the arm at the Home Depot on Cadenasso Dr., just off Hwy 80.

A few witnesses told police that the suspect, 47-year-old Paul Springs, ran off. Police found him walking a few blocks away with a box cutter. He was arrested for assault and taken to Solano County Jail.

The victim was rushed to Northbay Medical Center where he had to have surgery for his injuries. Cops say that the two men knew each other and were known transients in the area. Both refused to talk to police.
