The governor announced today during a victims rights rally that someone tried to break into his midtown loft on J st.
Police say it happened Sunday night.
A man got inside the building, got on the roof and then entered a fourth floor balcony.
When police arrived, they found that man in a balcony that was not the governor’s.
Jamal Johnson, 26, was taken into custody for prowling.
Police do not believe he knew that was where the governor lived. No one was hurt and no homes were actually broken into.
