SACRAMENTO COUNTY-

Lanes of I-80 were closed in the middle of Wednesday morning’s rush hour because of a suspicious package.

The bag was spotted near the I-80 and Watt Avenue light rail station after 8 a.m. Officers stopped drivers in most of the lanes to allow the bomb squad to assess the situation.

They detonated the package, and after deciding it was safe, opened all lanes. Light rail service is also back up and running after a short delay.
