The damp and cooler weather has helped firefighters get a handle on the 28,000-acre Springs Fire in Ventura County.
The fire started last Thursday southeast of Camarillo. Within the first 24 hours the fire had doubled in size, and forced many evacuations.
Sunday and Monday’s cooler weather has helped firefighting efforts. CalFire now says the blaze is 80% contained, and they expect to have it fully contained by Tuesday.
