Flood Warning Issued for Sacramento Area, Parts of Central Valley

SACRAMENTO-

The National Weather Service issued a flood warning Monday night following heavy rain in the Sacramento area and other parts of the Central Valley.

The warning was in effect until 11 p.m.

“Stream rises will be slow and flash flooding is not expected. However… all interesting parties should take necessary precautions immediately,” the statement read.

The areas most affected were the Arden-Arcade, downtown and North Highlands neighborhoods.
