SACRAMENTO—

Kings fans will have a chance for some catharsis come Thursday, as a “Long Live the Kings” rally is planned, the team announced.

New majority owner Vivek Ranadive, along with Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson, Slamson and Kings Dancers, plan to make an appearance.

The rally will happen in Cesar Chavez Park from 5-9 p.m. Organizers note the event is free.

Organizers also note that season ticket interest has been so high that they’re advising people to put a deposit down come May 21 at 9 a.m. to ensure a high-priority spot come the June selection event. They say that Kings.com has been getting, on average, a new season ticket inquiry every 3 minutes.

More information on the rally will be released in the coming days. FOX40 will be broadcasting live from the rally.
