WOODLAND—

Police say they were able to catch three people linked to a violent robbery and carjacking that happened Thursday night.

A man was walking in Ferns Park along W Southwood Drive around 10:30 when three men attacked him. The three took the man’s cellphone and keys to a 1994 Toyota. They then took off in the car.

As a result of the attack, the man suffered bruises and scrapes, but he wasn’t seriously hurt.

Over three hours later, police stopped the Toyota, finding three people inside. One of the men, 18-year-old Dominick Arismendez, was arrested and taken to Yolo County Jail. The other two, a juvenile boy and girl, were arrested and taken to Juvenile Hall.

All three now face charges ranging from robbery, carjacking, conspiracy and criminal street gang participation.
