Temperatures will be so high at the end of the week that the National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Monday morning.
NWS warns that daytime high temperatures throughout the region will be 15 to 20 degrees above normal. This means that temperatures could range between 100-112 for the valley and 80-90 in the Sierra.
The high temperatures are a result of strong high pressure building across the region, NWS notes.
Overnight lows are expected to be mild, however.
If you need to do anything outdoors, you should do so during the morning hours. Sensitive groups should take special care to limit their exposure.
