Drivers should expect more traffic on Highway 50 during parts of this week until Friday.
Construction crews are working on the Watt Avenue interchange over Highway 50 in an attempt to give more space to bicyclists and walkers.
Construction on Highway 50’s westbound lanes are scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 p.m. until the next morning at 6 a.m.
Construction is expected to take place on Highway 50 eastbound lanes Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. the next day.
There will always be at least one lane open for drivers during all times of construction.
The lanes will be closed for crews to construct falsework beams. The beams support the overcrossing until all construction above has been completed.
