Police say they have arrested a man suspected of stabbing his mother and stepfather Monday night.
Salvador Fierro Jr., 30, was taken into custody around 4:30 p.m. Officers from the Woodland Police Department, California State Parole and the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department found him along Edwards Circle.
Officers say neighbors had called to report that Fierro was in a fight with his mother along Edwards Circle. As police were on their way, they got another report that Fierro was holding a knife and fighting with his stepfather.
When officers showed up, they tended to the life-threatening stab wounds to both people. They were rushed to the hospital.
Woodland Police say officers set up a perimeter to catch Fierro, but couldn’t find him at the time.
