Sacramento firefighters are getting a big piece of new training equipment from FedEx.

The delivery company is donating a Boeing 727 to Sacramento Metro Fire District to be used for training.

The plane landed at Mather Airpark Friday morning, with a wet welcome from firefighters and their trucks.

The plane will be moved to the California Fire and Rescue Training Authority’s Regional Training Center in Rancho Cordova.

Multiple agencies in the Sacramento area will be able to train on the aircraft for different scenarios.
