Witnesses: Dog Thrown into Storm Drain

SACRAMENTO COUNTY—

Fire crews were able to free a dog stuck in a storm drain near Power Inn and Calvine Roads early Sunday evening.

Witnesses told responders that a car driving by threw the dog into the drain.

The dog was stuck about 25 feet down the drain.

By around 7:20 p.m., the dog was freed. Metro Fire officials say that a bike lock cable was wrapped around the dog’s hind legs.

    These people should have there legs tied with a bike lock and thrown into the river just as they did to the poor dog. Hope he does heal. Shame on them all

    The most disturbing thing, is that these sick individuals will get away with their crime. For the wise and copassionate it is a crime!
