Dustin Vicari says he was up in the air watching television when he learned about the plane crash in San Francisco.
“We were an about an hour away from San Francisco when we saw the news on CNN about the plane crash,” said Vicari, who was to be traveling on a JetBlue flight.
Vicari’s plane first got diverted into Oakland, then was re-routed to Sacramento International Airport. Now JetBlue is transporting its passengers by ground to San Francisco.
“Jet Blue is actually giving us courtesy buses. They are going to shuttle everybody to San Francisco,” Vicari said.
Yanick Douyon also heard about the crash while traveling on a plane.
“I felt that this was very unfortunate and I kind of said a prayer for the people who were on that flight,” Douyon said.
Thought unconcerned about her safety while traveling this day, news about the airplane that crashed definitely raised some concern about her future travels.
“I was coming from Fort Lauderdale, but interesting enough I am taking an Asian a flight tomorrow. So I was kind of hum, but I’ll just find out what’s going on tomorrow when things have kind of settled,” Douyon said.
