Highway 20 Traffic Diverted by Yuba County Fire

A grass fire prompted Cal Trans to divert traffic off Highway 20 near Smartsville in Yuba County Monday afternoon.

The road was expected to be back open between 7 and 8 p.m.

Motorists were moved on to lower and upper Smartville Road to avoid the fire, Cal Trans said.

Cal Fire reported the fire completely contained at 55 acres later Monday afternoon.
