Hundreds of firefighters continue to fight the wildfire burning west of the small community of Kyburz.
The U.S. Forest Service shifted their size estimates of the fire to about 615 acres.
Highway 50, which was closed for a time Monday, has been reopened – with the one-way traffic control suspended.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire, which stands at 40% containment as of late Tuesday afternoon. About 864 firefighters are battling the blaze, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
