Police are asking for your help in solving a crime that sounds like something out of the Old West.
They say a pair of masked men ambushed a railroad worker outside the downtown train station around 4:15 a.m.
The men forced the worker inside the building at gunpoint, made him give them cash and then tied him up and took off. The Amtrak employee was tied up for close to a half-hour before a passerby heard him yelling and called police.
Officers untied the worker right around the time the first train of the day was pulling in, at 4:45 a.m.
Police say the masked men made off with only cash – something the train station does not have a lot of.
Travelers were stunned to hear what had happened, but were happy to learn that the Amtrak employee was not injured.
