A helicopter is dumping water on a fire that has burned through vegetation around the solar panel field at Intel’s Folsom campus near Iron Point and Prairie City Roads.

Workers doing some grass cutting around the area looks to have sparked the blaze, authorities at the scene told FOX40.

One firefighter was overcome by the heat and had to be transported from the scene, but he is expected to be OK.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze at four and half acres.

The power plant was shut down due to the fire.
