Police have arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a person with intellectual disabilities.
Detectives have been investigating since July 5 after police learned that the victim had been sexually assaulted several times over the past year. The assaults happened at a home in Ceres, and the victim apparently knew the suspect and was able to identify him to police.
Michael Scudder, a 51-year-old Ceres resident was interviewed by officers Tuesday and then arrested. He now faces rape and oral copulation of a person incapable of giving consent charges.
