Crews working to fix a levee hit a water main in Natomas.

People living in North Natomas are being asked to not water their lawns and limit water use as crews work to fix a water main break.

The break happened Monday while work was being done on a levee near Arena Boulevard, near Truxel Road.

Crews with the City of Sacramento are putting metal sheets into the side of the levee to help secure it. They hope to continue the work as the water main is being repaired.

The water main supplies water to about 27,000 homes and businesses in that area.

Repair crews hope to have work completed by Thursday.
