STOCKTON—

With guns drawn SWAT is at the scene of a standoff that started around 2 p.m. Thursday. Officers are ready to do what it needs to capture a murder suspect from Georgia.

Police got an anonymous tip about the suspect, sparking the situation. He has been identified as Mou Moua, wanted by the FBI for murder charges stemming from the death of 66-year-old Arcade, Georgia resident Larry Durham.

“It’s very scary and frightening because you don’t think it’s going to happen to where you live at, and there’s no telling how this standoff is going to go, if they’re going to have a shootout over here,” said resident Angela Woodward.

Police, SWAT and U.S. Marshals have arrived along Alabama Avenue and have evacuated the block. Now residents are hoping this ends peacefully.

“It’s been pretty hectic. They’re bringing SWAT, but that’s Stockton,” said resident Jarrell Hicks. “I just hope it goes off peacefully no more causalities here.”
