Employee Pins Down Robber

STOCKTON –

A man tried to rob a Stockton business with a gun, only to be overpowered by an employee and arrested around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Officers received a call about a robbery in progress near Trinity Parkway and Scott Creek Drive. When police arrived on the scene, they found the robber being held down inside the business by an employee. Police also found a replica handgun belonging to the suspect.

According to the investigation, Casey Beier, 31, came into the store and confronted the employee. Beier initially kept the employee at bay, but the employee was able to overpower him, subduing Beier until police arrived.

The Stockton Police Department arrested Beier for robbery.
