Fatal Shooting Shuts Down Park in Vinyard Area

Sheriff’s deputies say a shooting has shut down Caymus Park in Sacramento’s Vinyard neighborhood.

A man — described as being in his 40’s — was found in the passenger seat of a moving truck, unresponsive near Vintage Park Drive and Caymus Drive. Paramedics found that he had been shot and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Investigators say witnesses described hearing shots and seeing a car speed off, but there was no available description of the car.

    It’s spelled Vineyard. We are asking the Sheriff’s Dept to patrol our neighborhood more. These parks are breeding grounds for drug dealers. They prey on our kids.

    I am sorry that this happened in your nice neighborhood.That is my sister Mrs Lugo and i am very sorry for her loss.My heart and prayers goes to her and the children Mr lugo left behind.This was a very senseless murder and we have got to stop the violence among eachother.At the end of the day we are all human and may god forgive those that have committed such a very fatal murder.I love you sister and stay strong for your children.He’s gone but never forgotten.
