A motorcycle was bumped by a car, which did not stop at the scene, on Saturday on Interstate-80 near Norwood Avenue.
Around 3:45 p.m., Joe Mikles, 70, and his wife Mary were riding east on Joe’s Harley Davidson in the middle lane. According to the report, a silver or gray vehicle hit the back of the motorcycle, causing the Joe and Mary to be thrown from the bike.
The driver of the car did not stop, instead continuing on I-80.
Both riders were taken to Mercy San Juan Hospital, where they were treated with major, but non-life threatening-injuries. The two were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
The silver or gray car is a Nissan with probable front bumper and grill damage. It is missing its front emblem and may have hood damage. It was reportedly driving recklessly before the crash.
