HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (CNN)-
One person was killed and three others were injured Wednesday morning in stabbings at a high school just north of Houston, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
The stabbings happened at Spring High School shortly after 7 a.m. CT, the office said.
Three students are being held for questioning in connection with the incident, Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia said. The student who died was 17, according to Garcia.
Information on who was stabbed, what led to the stabbings and whether anyone was arrested wasn’t immediately available.
Law enforcement officers were securing the site Wednesday morning, and it appeared no one else was in immediate danger, the sheriff’s office said.
The school is about 20 miles north-northwest of central Houston.
