A secretary at Lodi’s Millswood Middle School is accused of embezzlement, police said Wednesday.
According to investigators, 58-year-old Susan Taylor took $1,000 from the Parent Club. Police say Taylor had access to the funds.
Taylor had told police that an “unknown female suspect” came to the school to pick up the money on behalf of the club’s treasurer. She later confessed that she actually took the money, police say.
She is also said to have taken another $1,000 from the club. The exact amount of money stolen is still being figured out by detectives.
Taylor was arrested and booked for two counts of embezzlement and one count of filing a false police report.
