SAN JOAQUIN VALLEY-

Dust flying through the air through the San Joaquin Valley because of wind gusts has prompted a health advisory for several counties.

The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District issued a warning for Merced, Madera, Fresno, Kings, Tulare and Kern Counties. The Manteca area is particularly dusty, too.

The warning will last through Saturday.

Dust is known to trigger bronchitis and asthma attacks and worsen lung disease, the SJVAPCD said.
