Police Arrest Two in Torture, Murder of Midtown Man

Sacramento Police say two people have been arrested in the torture and murder of a midtown man.

Early Tuesday morning, police got reports of of a commotion near the corner of 17th and O Streets. Witnesses reported hearing “loud bangs, glass breaking and possibly gunshots.”

Officers showed up to the apartment to find three people inside. One appeared to have a gunshot wound, police say. The two others were detained.

The 22-year-old gunshot victim was declared dead at the scene.

Investigators say the three all knew each other, but are still unsure of what led to the shooting.

Wednesday, police announced that they arrested 31-year-old Jeremy Mcmahon for murder, false imprisonment, torture and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Officers also arrested 23-year-old Michelle Okumura for false imprisonment and torture.
