“I bought a payday before, a Hershey bar and a burrito that was green,” said Alisa Turner. “It don’t make no sense.”
Alisa Turner admits she has a sweet tooth; she’s three months pregnant.
“I think it’s disgusting.”
This time, her quest for sweets ended on a sour note.
“Who knows what else is expired.”
She bought the candy at an EZ Stop. Once it was open, Turner knew something was wrong. The Snickers Triple X Chocolate she says was extra hard.
“If you drop it probably won’t even break.”
We tried to break the treat on the ground, it didn’t even crumble.
It’s hard to tell how old it is, it’s missing the date. There were some serial numbers. The candy hit store shelves for the first time in 2011.
Looking at a side by side comparison, it’s clear the one Alisa bought isn’t fresh. A store worker confirmed it.
“It may have fell on the floor or something and got put back up there,” said a EZ Stop clerk.
Alisa turner says she wants the store to scrutinize their products better.
The best advice is to always look for the date on food items.
