A man was stopped and arrested at Sacramento International Airport Wednesday morning after ammunition was found in his bag, Sacramento Sheriff’s tell FOX40.
Around the 6 a.m. change of shifts, Sacramento Sheriff’s say, TSA called deputies out to SMF after security screening uncovered something alarming – shotgun shells in a passenger’s bag. Deputies say the passenger – 42-year-old Michael Tyrone Gordon – told authorities that he wasn’t trying to hide the ammunition, he had only forgotten that it was in his bag.
Running a records check, the deputies soon found that Gordon had a felony conviction history, forcing them to arrest Gordon on a charge of a felon in possession of ammo.
Gordon is now being held at Sacramento County Jail under $30,000 bail.
