Marshals Catch Man Suspected in 2008 Stockton Murder

U.S. Marshals caught up with a man suspected of a 2008 murder Wednesday in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Javier Jimenez is accused of stabbing two people on Aug. 2, 2008. One of his alleged victims recovered; the other did not.

Investigators identified Jimenez as the suspect days later, and believed he had fled to Mexico.

Jimenez was transferred into the custody of San Joaquin County Sheriff’s deputies Thursday. He is being held without bail.
