Authorities have confirmed that the man suspected of injuring four officers during a shooting has surrendered to police.

Sammy Duran, a 32-year-old parolee at-large, surrendered at around 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Roseville Police say. He had been holed up in a house near 6th and Hampton Streets for most of Friday evening.

Duran looked to be uninjured when he was taken into custody. He will be taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, as standard procedure, before being booked at Placer County Jail, police note.

SWAT sent in a robot a little after 10:45 p.m. after they lost contact with Duran. The robot helped relay commands from police to Duran, demanding him to come out and surrender.

Duran came out of the home unarmed, police note.

The injured officers, which include three from Roseville Police and an Immigrations and Customs Enforcement agent, were all taken to the hospital. Their conditions range from fair to serious – with one officer expected to be released from the hospital soon, authorities told FOX40.

Editor’s note: Duran’s age was originally reported as 23. It has since been corrected with the latest information from law enforcement.
