FOX40 was there as DNA Lab Technician Andre Pearson was released from the Sacramento County Jail.
Pearson didn’t want to talk to us about allegations that he conspired with Twin Rivers Unified School District Trustee, Cortez Quinn.
Investigators say Cortez Quinn was on a mission to get out of paying child support and committed several felonies to make it happen.
It’s high drama like something you’d see on Maury, but this one will play out in front of a judge.
In December of 2011, Dr. Sherilene Chycoski says Quinn fathered her child. She also has record proving she loaned him over $50,000.
Quinn denied their child, and from there investigators say he created a plan riddled with lies to prove he wasn’t the father.
It started at Comprehensive Medical Incorporated. Investigators believe Quinn conspired with Andrew Pearson who worked at the DNA testing facility for more than 10 years.
The owner Susan K. Ramsden says there’s no way Pearson rigged the test, and she questions the court’s theory that he swapped Quinn’s DNA with someone else’s so the paternity results would come back negative.
Ramsden says everything is out in the open, and every move is recorded on surveillance.
The courts ordered Quinn to take another test, he refused. The Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office conducted their own investigation. Quinn was in the restroom washing his hands, discarded the paper towels and his DNA was taken from that.
Sacramento County DA’s Office says that proved Cortez Quinn was the father and it linked him to Pearson as the conspirators of a DNA paternity scheme.
