Surveillance Footage of Shooting Suspects Released

STOCKTON—

Police in Stockton have released surveillance footage of a shooting that happened in late October in the hopes that someone recognizes the suspects.

The incident happened back on Oct. 27, a little before 6 p.m. According to a release from the Stockton Police Department, officers showed up near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Grant Street after getting a report that someone was shot.

At the scene, officers found that a 22-year-old man had been shot in the leg. He had to be taken to the hospital but his injuries were said to be not life threatening.

Police soon learned that the 22-year-old had been at a business in the area when the suspects began shooting at him. In the dash to get out of the area, the man crashed his car into two other cars at the intersection. Two people inside those cars were also taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The reason for the shooting has not been made clear.

As caught on surveillance tape, police have determined that the suspected gunmen were driving a green, 2000 Lincoln Continental with the California plate number 5KWA187.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Stockton Police at (209) 937-8377.
