Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

Police in Stockton are saying that a routine traffic stop led to the discovery of a drug stash.

The bust happened just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release from Stockton Police. San Joaquin County Wide Multi-Agency Gang Taskforce officers pulled over a car near West and E. Hammer Lanes and soon found themselves searching the vehicle.

Not only was a large amount of cocaine and marijuana found, but also a loaded, reportedly stolen handgun, police say.

Two men, 26-year-old Omar Gonzalez and 20-year-old Charles Richardson, were arrested for weapons and drug charges as a result.
