The day care was apparently citing Manitoba’s Early Learning and Child Care lunch guidelines for the fine, which supposedly stipulates that students need to have one milk, one meat, one grain and two fruits or vegetables in their meals.
For the school having to provide the children their missing nutrition, the children’s family was charged $5 a kid.
