Niners and the Seahawks get ready for a big weekend showdown. And a Tracy woman is proudly sporting her Seahawks gear and talking smack.

Friends and co-workers say they’d expect nothing less from the woman known as “Momma Lynch”. She’s a lone Seahawks fan in 49er country.

But it’s OK when you’re Momma Lynch, as in Marshawn Lynch: Seattle’s star running back.

Delisa Lynch is a Bay Area native. She lives in Tracy and works in Sacramento.

“It’s all in fun,” she says. “And I get them back and they get me. So we’ve been going back and forth with it. But I told Marshawn ‘you better win because I don’t want to wear a Niner jersey’.”

Around the office, Momma Lynch persistently rallies support for her son’s team. He’s a 27-year-old, she still calls a mama’s boy.

“It could have been that it was just us,” she says. “There wasn’t a father. It was just me raising him and we was all we had. I’m his best friend. I’m his heart.”

They talk every day and she still gets his favorite treats for game day.

Delisa says, “When he first came on, he was kinda nervous about playing, being in pop warner and never playing before. So I’d give him Skittles and say, ‘Here go baby. These are your power pellets’.”

As for Sunday’s big match up, she says he calls it a “business game”.

“All business,” Delisa said. “So usually the games are all fun and he enjoys it. But this is all business.”

Delisa says if the Seahawks lose Sunday, she’ll wear a Niner jersey at work.

But if the Niners lose, her co-workers will put on her jersey.

Watch the Niner-Seahawks game on FOX40 at 1:25 p.m. Sunday.
