Some showed up with Fellowship Baptist Church sweat shirts, others brought their Bibles to the Solano County Court Tuesday.
About a dozen of Vacaville Pastor Mark Lewis’s supporters attended his 1:30 p.m. arraignment.
“I was his high school teacher, he is a godly man who can’t do wrong,” church member Cody Mott said.
Lewis’ second arraignment this month lasted for about 15 minutes, as the judge set bail at $575,000 for two separate charges, arson and fraud.
Lewis’s defense attorney Denis Honeychurch told FOX40 he has concerns about the way the district attorney is handling the case, so far.
“They are using their power to imprison him, when he is presumed to be innocent,” Honeychurch said.
Lewis is scheduled to be back in court next month.
