WASHINGTON, D.C. –
A veteran from Sacramento County is in Washington, D.C. Tuesday to attend the State of the Union address live.
Matthew Ceccato is going as a guest of Congressman Ami Bera. Ceccato spoke with FOX40 from the congressman’s office. He said he was so excited to be there, and that it energized him to return home and continue to work hard for his fellow veterans.
Ceccato served two tours of duty in Iraq, getting injured in Najaf. He now works with the congressman’s Rancho Cordova office helping veterans in Sacramento County get benefits from Veterans Affairs.
