The Stockton Police Department launched its own mobile app Tuesday, giving the public “unprecedented” access.
The app will help the community of Stockton stay connected with news, crimes, maps, social media and alerts.
“We want to offer the best in technology and access, and that means making Stockton Police Department’s services and information available to mobile users,” Stockton Police Chief Eric Jones said. “We’re excited to have a partner in MobilePD that really understands the possibilities for mobile applications in law enforcement.”
MobilePD, a Silicon Valley-based start-up company that has developed mobile apps for several other police departments across the country has designed the Stockton Police Department App.
“We believe that applications like this build bridges between the community and their local government,” MobilePD CEO Kushyar Kasraie said. “We are excited to play a role in connecting the citizens of Stockton with their police department and assuring there are no barriers to access of information.”
